The Green Energy Island in Kamień Śląski
The Green Energy Island in Kamień Śląski
– Established in 2019, the installation supports the facilities of the Scientific Research Institute, Sebastianeum Silesiacum Sanatorium, St. Jack’s Sanctuary, and Odrowąż Palace.
The Green Energy Island consists of a photovoltaic installation with a total capacity of 600 kWp, an energy storage system with a capacity of 837 kWh and 300 kVA, a wind turbine, a system of series-connected heat pumps and solar collectors, and electric vehicle charging stations.
Thanks to the solutions applied, the facilities are energy self-sufficient for 9 months of the year, while in the remaining months, the renewable energy covers about 70-80% of the demand. The Green Energy Island has been a site for numerous scientific studies since its inception, and Kamień Śląski has become a meeting place for all those interested in the functioning of this installation.
In 2022, design work began on expanding the installation with additional elements and incorporating the neighboring golf course into the Green Energy Island.

Zielona Wyspa Energetyczna w Kamieniu Śląskim
Zielona Wyspa Energetyczna w Kamieniu Śląskim – powstała w 2019 roku instalacja wspomagająca obiekty Instytutu Naukowo-Badawczego, Sanatorium Sebastianeum Silesiacum, Sanktuarium św. Jacka i Pałacu Odrowążów.
Na Zieloną Wyspę składa się instalacja fotowoltaiczna o łącznej mocy 600 kWp wraz z magazynem energii o pojemności 837 kWh i mocy 300 kVA, turbinę wiatrową, system szeregowych pomp ciepła i kolektorów słonecznych oraz stacje ładowania pojazdów elektrycznych.
Dzięki zastosowanym rozwiązaniom obiekty przez 9 miesięcy w roku są samowystarczalne energetycznie, natomiast w pozostałych miesiącach energii z OZE wystarcza na pokrycie ok. 70-80% zapotrzebowania. Zielona Wyspa Energetyczna jest obiektem, w którym od początku jej funkcjonowania prowadzone są liczne badania naukowe, a sam Kamień Śląski stał się dzięki niej miejscem spotkań wszystkich zainteresowanych funkcjonowaniem tej instalacji.
W 2022 roku rozpoczęto prace projektowe nad powiększeniem instalacji o dodatkowe elementy i wcieleniem do Zielonej Wyspy terenów leżącego w sąsiedztwie pola golfowego.
Ecological effect:

Installation in Zero Grid Export Formula
Photovoltaic farm and energy storage at one of the most modern hatcheries in Europe
The investor, Modern Hatch, decided to build a renewable energy source due to a ninefold increase in electricity prices, which would help reduce energy costs. However, they faced the biggest problem for Polish investors—refusal of grid connection conditions for the installation.
The only solution to this problem was to equip the installation with an energy storage system with an intelligent energy management system
i-MEB EMS. Thanks to our efforts and technologies, the entire installation operates in the Zero Grid Export system, meaning that the energy produced is fully utilized by the plant, and its excess is stored.
The built photovoltaic farm has a capacity of 1.8 MWp, while the newly established battery storage has a capacity of 2.2 MWh and a power of 1.5 MVA. The investor plans to expand the farm to a capacity of 6 MWp and install additional energy storage systems.
The entire investment aims to achieve 70% energy self-sufficiency for the facility and is the first installation in Poland to operate in the Zero Grid Export formula.
Instalacja w formule Zero Grid Export
Farma fotowoltaiczna i magazyn energii przy jednej z najnowocześniejszych wylęgarni drobiu w Europie. Inwestor – Modern Hatch – przez dziewięciokrotny wzrost ceny energii elektrycznej zdecydował się na budowę źródła OZE, które pozwoliłoby obniżyć koszty energii, jednak spotkał się z największym problemem polskich inwestorów, czyli odmową warunków przyłączenia instalacji do sieci.
Jedynym rozwiązaniem tego problemu było zaopatrzenie instalacji w magazyn energii z inteligentnym systemem zarządzania energią i-MEB EMS.
Dzięki naszym wysiłkom i technologiom cała instalacja działa w systemie Zero Grid Export, co oznacza, że wyprodukowana energia w całości wykorzystywana jest przez zakład, a jej nadwyżki są magazynowane.
Wybudowana farma fotowoltaiczna ma moc 1,8 MWp, natomiast powstały bateryjny magazyn ma pojemność 2,2 MWh i moc 1,5 MVA. Inwestor planuje rozbudować farmę do mocy 6 MWp i zainstalować kolejne magazyny energii.
Cała inwestycja realizowana jest w dążeniu do 70% samowystarczalności energetycznej obiektu i jest pierwszą w Polsce instalacją działającą w formule Zero Grid Export.
