Hybrid energy storage for Filplast
MEB GROUP has completed an innovate project for Filplast, which included the construction of an advanced photovoltaic farm and a hybrid energy storage facility. The investment supports green activities and increases the energy efficiency of the Głogówek production facility.
Purposes of the investment
The main goal of the project was to accomplish significant energy independence and reduction the caarbon dioxide emissions by 209 184 kg per year. Tanks to that Filplast is now becoming one of the most eco-friendly window producer, while contributing to environmental protection.
Photovoltaic installation
The initial capacity of the plant has been increased six times - from 100 kWp to 600 kWp. As a result, almost half of the energy consumed by the plant now comes from renewable energy soources. The photovoltaic installation operates off-grid, which means independence from the power grid. This solution allows for even higher energy autonomy and stability of supply.
Hybrid energy storage
We used a modern hybrid energy storage with UPS function to reduce power grid disturbances. This ensures stable and reliable operation of machinery and production systems, which is crucial for production efficiency. The storage facility has a capacity of 800 kVA and 870 kWh. There are plans to expand it.
Energy managment system i-MEB EMS
By implementing a system that allows real- time monitoring and optimization of energy consumption, there can be achieved even higher energy efficiency. This allows Filplast to respond dynamically to energy needs, minimizing costs and increasing efficiency.
